There are some pieces that age like wine — and others that demand fire and reinvention.
Unlike Tara’s Compassion, whose choreography still resonates deeply with me 13 years later, SIREN SONG called for a full-blown rebirth. I created it many years ago, but returning to it now felt like facing a wild sea: powerful, unpredictable, and full of voices that refused to stay quiet.
The music itself is incredibly rich — a tangled orchestra of sirens whispering, screaming, seducing, and betraying. It feels like stories crashing into one another, an emotional storm where beauty and hysteria dance in unison. It’s manic yet harmonic. A magnetic chaos.
When I first choreographed SIREN SONG, I was drawn to its theatrical power. But revisiting it now, with everything I’ve learned and lived through since, I realized it needed sharper teeth. More attitude. Less charm, more bite. It’s no longer about seduction — it’s about domination.
The sirens in this piece aren’t here to lure. They’re here to rule.
That’s the energy I poured into this revamped choreography. It’s rooted in strong old-school Tribal Fusion technique but layered with drama, sharp intention, and unapologetic expression. Every movement is designed to command attention, to speak volumes without words — like a warning, like a battle cry, like a secret whispered through gritted teeth.
And when you dance it?
It feels exhilarating.
Totally consuming.
Like stepping into a persona that’s darker, louder, and more powerful than you remembered you could be.
